By bus
The best way to reach Siena is by bus. Siena is linked to Firenze by Sita, Flixbus and Itabus. Fast buses (Rapida) run from Firenze to Siena at 6.25 past each half hour or more frequently. The last journey leaves Firenze at 20,15. The journey takes approximately an hour and 15 minutes and costs 7,80 euros, one way (12 euros if you take the ticket on the bus).
In Firenze, the bus station is located just 100 meters away from the main railway station (Santa Maria Novella). If you reach Firenze by plane, you can get to the station by tram where you can take the bus to Siena. In Siena, you should get off at the last stop (La Lizza).
Siena is also daily linked to Roma and Milano by Itabus and Flixbus.
From Milano (Porta Garibaldi) the journey takes approximately 5 hours, from Roma (stazione Tiburtina) it takes 3 hours. These buses stop at the station or at La Lizza.
From La Lizza you can walk to the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences in 15-20 minutes (see the map above), or you can take a taxi in the nearby Piazza Matteotti. The ride will cost about 10 euros.

By train
From the railway station, take bus n 114 and after that take bus n OS2 in via Giuseppe Garibaldi. The journey takes about 30 minutes. you will stop in front of Porta Romana. Click here to check train timetables and fares.

By car
From North: exit at Firenze Certosa on the A1 highway. Take the SGC Firenze-Siena up to Siena Sud. Then follow the directions to Porta Tufi.
From South: From Napoli/Roma take the A1 highway direction North (Firenze-Milano). Exit at Foiano della Chiana take the SGC Raccordo Siena-Bettolle up to Siena. Take the Tangenziale di Siena Est (direction Firenze) and exit at Siena Sud. Then follow the Porta Tufi directions.

A car park is located just in front of the faculty. It costs 1,60 euros per hour.
